Fostering Industry-Environment Collaboration: COBI and HSPCB Join Forces for a Cleaner Future
On October 30, 2023, the Confederation of Bahadurgarh Industries (COBI) organized an interactive session with the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) for the industrialists of the Jhajjar district. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Pollution Board, Mr. P. Raghavendra Rao, as well as the HSPCB Regional Officer, Mr. Navin Gulia, SE Mr. Sanjeev Budhiraja, DM Mr. Jaganivas, and the SHO Traffic, among others.
The event was graced by COBI’s President, Mr. Parveen Garg, Vice-President Mr. Vipin Bajaj, General Secretary Mr. Pardeep Koul, Treasurer Mr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, and various COBI Executive Members, as well as entrepreneurs from more than 150 industrialists representing 24 different industrial areas in the Jhajjar district.
During the program, Mr. P. Raghavendra Rao, Chairman of the Pollution Board, addressed the gathering and provided essential information on the directives and guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) Phase IV and how pollution can be effectively controlled during the GRAP. COBI’s President, Mr. Parveen Garg, also requested important information from the pollution board officials, such as the safety of the new generators available under CPCB IV. He also emphasized the need for regular water sprinkling, the use of smoke guns, and road cleaning in industrial areas during GRAP. Additionally, he highlighted the issue of pollution generated by long traffic jams and damaged roads, stressing the importance of timely control measures.
