Circular issued by CAQM banning DG Sets for Power Backup

As per the guidelines set by CAQM, all industries that are having Diesel Generators have to mandatorily switch over to PNG or Biomass fuels by 30.09.2022.

But seeing the current situation we are unable to switch to cleaner fuels as the prices quoted by the companies for retrofitters are too high to bear by any MSME. Furthermore, they are not approved by the government and we don’t have proper PNG pipelines near to our industries.

We humbly request for 24×7 power supply to our factories or allow us to use currently available gensets. Also please educate industrialists about the government-approved equipments too.
