Industries Advised Strict Compliance with ETP and Environmental Norms

A meeting with the Regional Officer, HSPCB Bahadurgarh, Sh. Ashish Kaushik, was held todayat teh HSPCB Office, Bahadurgarh. The COBI delegation included Sh. Parveen Garg (President, COBI), Sh. Pardeep Koul (General Secretary, COBI), Sh. Surender Vashisht (Joint Secretary, COBI), and Executive Members Sh. Vijender Gulati, Sh. Amrik Singh Lal, Sh. Vikas Gupta, Sh. Narender Singhal, and Sh. Deepak Sahni.

The meeting was conducted under the Yamuna Action Plan, wherein the following key directions were issued by the Regional Officer:

• Water-polluting industries must install their own ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant).
• Regular monitoring and surprise inspections will be carried out by the department from time to time to ensure compliance.
• Online monitoring devices must remain functional at all times.
• All industries must strictly adhere to environmental compliance norms.
• Wherever required, STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) must be installed and kept operational.
• Monthly meetings should be organized to spread awareness among industries.
• Strict instructions were given not to bypass the ETP under any circumstances.
